March 11 @ 6:30 pm 7:30 pm

Dive into the world of knowledge and curiosity with Scholar Talks, a new series at Scholar & Scribe Bookshop. Each event features a thought-provoking presentation by an expert, sparking engaging conversations on topics that matter. This month please join us for a women’s health discussion led by Perry Brubaker, a prevention and health promotion specialist. Striving to educate women about their wellbeing in a world of information overload, Perry believes that one of the best ways to do this is to connect with women who have similar questions and experiences so that they might learn from each other. Through a general overview, Perry will illuminate what is happening to our physiology and how the five elements of health (movement, nutrition, sleep, stress management, and social connections) are impacted during perimenopause and menopause. This includes reviewing six books that have been recently published on the topic.

Perry Brubaker is a subject matter expert with a deep understanding of population health, prevention, and health promotion, combined with clinical experience and the ability to navigate uncertainty. From everyday applications to the future of women’s health, Perry will elucidate how to traverse the hormonal transitions that occur in midlife. By attending this event, you will:
