The Library Bar at Scholar & Scribe

Wine, Books & Good Conversation

Some places are made for passing through. The Library Bar was made for staying awhile.

Tucked inside Scholar & Scribe, our independent bookstore in the Town at Trilith, the Library Bar is a European-inspired wine bar in Fayetteville, Georgia, where books line the walls and conversation is encouraged.

Settle in with a glass of wine. Share something from the kitchen. Discover a new favorite through a wine flight. Browse the bookshop before you sit down—or bring your new book to the table. Whether you’re meeting a friend, planning a date night, or simply looking for a beautiful place to spend an unhurried evening, you’re invited to find a seat and linger.

Wine at the Library Bar

Our wine list is thoughtfully curated with an emphasis on bottles that are interesting, approachable, and worth talking about. Explore wines by the glass or bottle, discover something new through one of our wine flights, or join us for Wine Wednesday, when we turn our attention to particular regions, grapes, producers, and styles. You don’t need to know a lot about wine to enjoy it here.

A Little Something to Share

Wine is even better with something at the table. Our food menu takes its cues from the kind of simple, convivial eating we love throughout Europe—artisan breads, thoughtfully selected cheeses and charcuterie, small plates, and other accompaniments made for sharing over a bottle of wine.

The menu changes as we discover new ingredients and introduce seasonal offerings, giving you another reason to come back and see what’s new.

A Wine Bar Inside a Bookstore

Yes, you can drink wine in the bookstore. In fact, we rather encourage it. Scholar & Scribe was created around the idea that books are meant to spark conversation and that some of the best conversations happen when people have permission to slow down. The Library Bar brings those ideas together.

Browse the shelves of our independent bookshop. Choose a book. Order a glass of wine. Meet someone for a drink. Stay for another chapter. It’s part bookshop, part wine bar, and part gathering place.

Wine Wednesday

On Wednesdays, wine gets a little more attention. Wine Wednesday at Scholar & Scribe is an opportunity to taste, compare, and learn through rotating wine flights and featured selections. One week might take you to Burgundy; another to the Loire Valley, Italy, Spain, or somewhere entirely unexpected. The experience is approachable rather than formal. Come ready to taste something new, learn a little, and perhaps leave with a new favorite.

Date Night at the Library

Dinner and a movie aren’t the only options. For a date night in Fayetteville that’s a little quieter and more interesting, start with a stroll through the bookshop and then find a table in the Library Bar. Share a bottle. Order a board or a few small plates. Listen to live music on select evenings or head to a movie at Trilith Live. Talk without competing with televisions or a room designed to rush you through it. Stay awhile. We think that’s rather romantic.

Live Music in the Library Bar

On select evenings, the Library Bar becomes an intimate setting for live music. Our musical programming is intentionally curated for the room, with soft jazz, classic standards, acoustic selections, and other performances that complement rather than compete with conversation. It’s music meant to become part of the atmosphere.

More Than Wine

Not everyone at the table needs to be drinking wine. The Library Bar is also home to our tea café, with a curated selection of teas and specialty tea drinks, along with non-alcoholic options, pastries, and other offerings. That makes it an easy place for a group to gather—even when everyone wants something different.
