We are deeply grateful for the creativity and care of the local authors who reach out to Scholar & Scribe. At this time, our event calendar is fully booked and our shelves are at capacity, so we are pausing new local author submissions and event requests. This allows us to thoughtfully steward our space, staff time, and programming while continuing to serve our readers well. We look forward to revisiting this program in the future and appreciate your understanding and continued support of our book-loving community.

Yes! As an independent bookseller in a town of creators, we are very supportive of our local writing community. In fact, we host writing workshops and seminars to help local authors grow in their craft. Learn more.

We accept returns only on unread books in absolutely new condition, purchased at regular price from the store stock, within 30 days after purchase, or books that were defective from the printer. 

When we accept a return, we offer store credit only or in the case of a defective book, a replacement. We do not refund cash, credit cards, or checks. Store credit will be placed onto a store gift card for future use if you are unable to take the time to find a replacement item at the time of return. Yes! We have a deep love of our growing community in Trilith and are committed to providing a space where neighbors and friends can gather, connect and discuss the day in a warm and friendly space.
