Scholar & Scribe hosts author conversations, book signings, readings, launches, and other literary gatherings throughout the year, bringing writers and readers together in the intimate setting of our independent bookstore at the Town at Trilith.
Our author events are designed to feel less like a lecture and more like a conversation. Hear the story behind the story, discover what inspired the work, ask questions, and leave with a signed book—and perhaps a new favorite author.

Our curated author event calendar features traditionally published writers, from bestselling and nationally recognized authors to regional voices and authors with a special connection to our community.
Working with publishers, publicists, and industry partners, we bring authors and readers together for thoughtfully planned events that celebrate new releases, noteworthy books, and the conversations they inspire.
Depending on the event, an evening might include an author conversation and Q&A, a reading, book signing, launch celebration, or a gathering in the Library Bar inspired by the book itself.
Each event is a little different because each book—and each writer—has a different story to tell.

Scholar & Scribe was created around the belief that books do more than sit on shelves. They introduce ideas, start conversations, and bring people together.
Author events are one of our favorite ways to make that happen.
Come because you’ve read every book an author has written. Come because a friend invited you. Or come knowing absolutely nothing about the book and leave wanting to read it.

Before an event, browse the shelves of our independent bookshop or settle into the Library Bar with a glass of wine, tea, or something from the kitchen.
Many of our author events extend beyond the signing table, with themed drinks, food, conversation, and other thoughtful details inspired by the featured book.
